About

AMG boasts a consistent foundation of success in the SCCA club racing arena, having worked with some of the best drivers in the country to prepare dominating racing machines. Rental and maintenance programs are available in several racing series, from San Francsico Region Spec Miata to National Spec MIata to Mazda Pro MX-5 Cup to endurance events.

AMG hopes to bring a new level of preparation to the field in the Atlanta Region. Previously in the San Francisco Region SCCA Spec Miata series, widely regarded as some of the most competitive racing in the nation, AMG’s drivers accounted for more half of the top 10, including the overall champion. In national competition at the 2007 National Championship Runoffs, AMG machines dominated the “sharp end” of the field, nearly sweeping the podium!

In 2007, AMG broke into the SCCA Mazda Pro MX-5 Cup series with great success. Since then AMG has been fielding a 5-car team at each event, with a growing rate of success. AMG drivers have amassed many podiums, pole positions, several race wins and placed three drivers in the top 10 overall points standings.

AMG is taking the competition up a notch this year joining the SCCA Pro World Challenge Series with three drivers.

Owner and team manager Jason Hoover has been immersed in racing his entire life. He has combined that experience with his passion for motorsports and created the most successful Spec Mazda Miata program in the nation. His cars not only made up one third of the top 10 at the 2007 SCCA National Championship Runoffs, but took 2 of the top 3 podium spots!
